Literacy Materials

After nine years of experience ASMITA realized that it is not enough to publish a magazine merely for educated urban women as there are many literate and illiterate rural women who lack information and reading materials in simple language and sketches. Therefore, ASMITA decided to produce various type of IEC materials in different issues of women's human rights for those groups

Accordingly, some booklets like Chamelile Thaha Paain (Chameli Knew That), Parisramako Phal (Fruit of Hard Work), Dotiki Buhari (Daughter-in-law of Doti), Samajsewi Bandanako Katha (The Story of Social Worker Bandana), Dhartiki Tara (Star of the Earth), Sampreshan (Reflection) copies etc. were also produced and distributed in the rural areas. An inspiring experience was that one of the booklets namely Mahila Sashaktikaranko Lagi Kanun ( Laws for Women Empowerment)  was published 120,000 copies and distributed, yet it was  continuously demanded in huge number mainly from the rural areas.
